National No Smoking Day
Run by the British Heart Foundation, the National No Smoking Day is held on the second Wednesday of every March in order to raise awareness for the benefits of giving up smoking.
Using the unusual visual of matches to promote no smoking catches the attention of smokers and non-smokers alike. On closer inspection the matches have no match-heads and the match-book has nothing to strike a match with. Match books were made to distribute to the general public – for smokers to pick up and for non-smokers to pick up for their smoker friends.
